Speaker: Jon Gregory

On Friday, August 24th our guest speaker is Jon Gregory, the President of the Golden Capital Network, a non-profit networking, training and consulting group that fosters growth entrepreneurship and early stage investing as an engine for economic growth.

Jon will discuss the launch of Golden Capital Venture Funds in the fall of 2007. Golden Capital Venture Funds (GCVF) creates and manages diversified private equity funds targeting underserved markets focusing initially in Northern and Central California. GCVF-managed funds will include Regional Angel Investment Funds (“RAIFs”, e.g., Redding Golden Capital Partners, Chico Golden Capital Partners, etc.), which are $3 million (or more) funds making region-specific, $100-250k investments in high-growth companies. If you are an investor or involved with a high-growth company, you can't miss this talk.

At Noon on the fourth Friday of every month we host a “Brown Bag” meeting at the Civic Center (City Hall at 777 Cypress Ave). The name of the meeting room is the “Caldwell Park Room” on the second floor (http://www.ci.redding.ca.us/civcenter/conf201.html).
